As 2025 comes to a close, I'm sure you won't be surprised to hear me say that it's time to take stock and plan for next year (in pencil, because Life Drafting). If you plan to come to the retreat, consider this your groundwork to prepare you for the work we will be doing there. If you aren't able to attend the retreat, simply use these exercises as the start of your 2026 planning.
If you’re joining us for the retreat, consider this message your soft launch—your groundwork to prepare for the deeper work we’ll be doing together. And if you aren’t able to be there in person, these reflections will still give you a powerful head start on your 2026 planning.
Before we dream forward, we pause. Before we draft the next chapter, we look at the one we’re living. This is not new for you all. This is the process that I do with you as we begin our work together, and I revisit it with you every year.
How satisfied are you—right now—with the main areas of your life?
HEALTH
Your physical, emotional, and mental well-being.Where are you thriving? Where are you running on empty? What habits helped you feel steady this year, and what needs a rewrite?
CONNECTION
Your relationships—with otherrs, friends, family, friends who feel like family. Who made your life richer in 2025? Where are you craving more support, depth, or boundaries?
CONTRIBUTION
How you showed up in the world—your work, your impact, your sense of purpose. What felt meaningful? Where did you feel misaligned or underused?
PLAY
Joy, creativity, rest, spontaneity—the stuff that reminds you you’re a human being, not a productivity robot. Where did play show up for you this year? And be honest… did it show up enough?
Take a few minutes this week to simply notice your current draft in each area. No pressure to fix anything yet. No big goals. Just awareness. You can jot notes in your journal, scribble in the margins of your planner, or record a voice memo if that’s more your style. If you want more structure, I can send you the pdf worksheets. Let me know!
This is your foundation. Your honest snapshot of the “you” that’s walking into 2026.
