May Goal Check-in
It's hard to believe it, but we are halfway through May on our way to June. Even thought it is quickly approaching, we haven't hit the...

Enjoy the Moment
I am in a crazy, busy, stressful season right now that feels like it came on like a freight train! My impulse to control every detail has...

Book Alert: Let Them, Mel Robbins
I have to admit I avoided this book for awhile. It has a cult-like following and I wasn't sure I wanted to jump on that bandwagon. First...

The Life That's Waiting for Us
“We must be willing to let go of the life we planned so as to have the life that is waiting for us.” ~ Joseph Campbell I came across...

It's All in the Interpretation
Words are tricky little things. One moment, they’re clear as day. The next, they’ve shapeshifted into something totally...

November 2024: Life Buckets Check-in
This month we will focus on finishing out the year with some reflection on where we are. We will do this by spending each week on one of the 4 Life Buckets: Health, Connection, Contribution, and Play (I have renamed them).

October, 2024: Book Study, The Obstacle is the Way, Ryan Holiday
This month we are diving into a recent book I discovered (thanks to my own coach), The Obstacle is the Way: The Ancient Art of Turning Adversity to Advantage by Ryan Holiday. Ryan Holiday is an American author known for his works on Stoicism, a philosophy that emphasizes resilience, discipline, and the pursuit of wisdom.

August and September, 2024: Focus and Mindfulness
We all have a lot on our plates! Our lives are SO full that we often struggle to get everything done that we want or need to get done. And I don’t know about you, but I certainly feel that time is simply flying by at an alarming rate!

July 2024: Summer Journal Challenge
Welcome to what “they” call the dog days of summer! I don’t know about you, but my life always feels a bit looser in the summer. School isn’t in session, the weather is warmer, people vacation more — it just hits a little differently than the rest of the year. And that’s a good thing. I see it as a time to connect with my friends and family. A time for leisurely, easy meals cooked outside, and long days spent by the pool, beach, lake, or whichever body of water you choose.

June 2024: Locus of Control and Accountability
This month we are focusing on locus of control and how it pertains to personal accountabilty. Being able to identify your tendencies and personal motivations will allow you to shape and adjust your approach to getting things done. Having awareness of your motivation style can propel you towards achieving the goals you set for yourself.

May, 2024: Self Care (more than just massages and bubble baths)
This month we are diving into self care. And as the title suggests, it is SO much more than massages and bubble baths, although those are nice too and will play a part. My business coach, Elizabeth Tollis has developed a self care paradigm, and I give her credit for much of this month’s content. I also feel that in order to be a good, solid coach, you have to truly believe in the value of coaching, so of course — I have my own coach:)

April, 2024: Putting it All Together
I have decided to not add anything new to this month’s content, and instead pull it all together in a cohesive several steps. I feel like I have thrown a lot at all of you over the past few months — I have been excitedly researching and wanted to share what I’m learning! So I wanted to pause and make sure we are all caught up in what I intend for you all.

March, 2024: Designing Your Life
This month we are essentially doing another book study, loosely based on a book by Bill Burnett and Dave Evans called Designing Your Life . I have based a lot of my coaching strategies on this book, and have read it a few times. The authors are professors of engineering at Stanford, who teach students how to design their lives using engineering principals — curiosity, problem-solving, prototyping (trying stuff).

February, 2024 - Book Study: Atomic Habits
I love discussing behavior change and habits, and James Clear’s book, Atomic Habits gives us the best framework I’ve found to discuss it in an easily digestible way. I want to start with discussing his overarching idea that there are 3 layers of habits (with the last one being at the center; at the core - so picture it like peeling back and onion):

January, 2024: Exploring Optimism
Optimism. What comes to mind for you when I say that word? Is it picturing someone who is always happy, always cheerful, ready to shower you with their constant positivity? No one can really, truly feel that way all the time, right? It doesn’t seem real. My plan for this month is to shatter that image and teach you about true optimism. And maybe even challenge you to think more optimistically yourself.

December, 2023: Ringing In a New Year
I’m not a proponent of New Year’s Resolutions. You know the ones where you set a random self-improvement goal and completely forget about it three weeks into the new year.

November, 2023: Creating a Journaling Habit
It’s journaling month!

October, 2023 - Growth vs. Fixed Mindset
Welcome to the membership re-launch. If you haven’t done so already, I recommend scrolling down to the bottom of the membership posts to where it says “start here - How to Use the Membership” to give you an overview.

March - Meeting Expectations
This month we are doing a book study! You are welcome to read the book - but the best part is - you don’t have to read the book .
